iCMS 4.0 was released in early October, and website migrations to the new platform are now underway. With support for iCMS 3.1 ending on 31 December 2026, this is a good time to plan your service update.
iCMS 4.0 provides a more modern technical foundation for websites and other digital services. Its renewed administration experience, clearer content modules and up-to-date application framework make services easier to maintain and develop further.
An update is also a natural opportunity to review the website structure, visual identity and most important user journeys. Existing content can be migrated to the new platform in a controlled way, but the new service does not need to repeat every decision made on the old website. Key services, current content and contact paths can be brought forward more clearly.
The renewed iCMS 4.0 API adds flexibility. In addition to websites, the platform can serve as a backend for mobile applications, while the same data can be used through integrations and purpose-built interfaces.
Each migration path is planned according to the current service, its content, language versions and integrations. Required redirects are included in the planning to preserve existing addresses and search visibility as effectively as possible.
Support for iCMS 3.1 ends at the end of 2026. Starting the planning process early allows the migration to be completed in a controlled way and the benefits of the new platform to be introduced without unnecessary urgency.
